At the press conference, VBC, together with their management team, launched an unprecedented collaboration between Hong Kong and Austria- the Vienna Boys Choir Music Academy Foundation (VBCMAF). Irene Au and Water Cheung, founding directors of VBCMAF, Markus Blauensteiner, Director of the VBC School in Vienna, Gerald Wirth, President, and Artistic Director of VBC spoke about the establishment of the Foundation and their aspirations. They also outlined the future development of the Foundation, which includes the Hong Kong-Vienna Music Festival 2016 and the Vienna Boys Choir International School Project.
